A little intro for the new website!
Hello everyone, Roe here! As the amount of shows I’m seeing for press and in general has increased, I thought it was only time to create a website to have all my written reviews, video interviews and more in one place and to make it more accessible.
So for those who don’t know me, here is all you need to know!
✨ I am based in the West Midlands (but me and the London Northwestern trains are like 🤞)
✨ My first theatre show was a local pantomime when I was 5 but my first West End Musical was Billy Elliott when I was 11 on a Year 6 school trip
✨ I’m a heavy supporter of local/’amdram’ theatre and a member of 2 in the Midlands as an Actor and Stage Manager (the Criterion Theatre and the Loft Theatre). We have so many amazing Little Theatres that deserve the recognition other reviewers don’t usually show
✨ I have Developmental Hip Dysplasia and have occasionally used crutches since the end of 2024, so I am driven to make theatre more accessible. I’m currently studying British Sign Language (Interpreting) at University to hopefully be an Access Coordinator for the creative industries.
✨ I have written for 3 different publications over the last year all while launching my own content and representing myself at many West End and local shows
✨ Outside of theatre I make lots of short films with my friends who work in the TV and Film industry as well as volunteer at my local Blind Centre every Monday
My Favourites
I get asked this question a lot and while its also very hard to answer, I have narrowed it down to these following categories
Play: Every Brilliant Thing– First saw my local theatres production in September 2024 after seeing a call out for audience members to come in and help during rehearsals. I’ve been fully obsessed ever since. I saw it three times in rehearsals alone before seeing it twice during the initial run and once more at a revival local fringe performance. I’m so excited for the London debut this year and already have two trips in one day booked with two more to book.

British Musical: The Little Big Things– I first heard of this musical when Gracie McGonigal announced that she was going to be part of the project. I grew up watching her in Spirit Young Performers Company so I knew I had to go see it. The more I read up about the musical and the representation it included, the more special I realised it was. Playing in the new @sohoplace venue which remains to be the only fully accessible theatre for both cast, crew and patrons in the West End, checking this out was obvious. I didn’t get to see it until the final matinee/the ‘muck up matinee’ and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. While this category changes nearly on the daily, this musical would always mean the most to me.

Cast Album: For Tonight– One of the first musicals I got into despite still not many people knowing what it is. This is an incredible trilingual musical all about Romani travellers and forbidden lovers, blending the beautiful languages of Romani, Cymru and English. The cast album is always on my top streamed with my favourite songs being ‘Home’, ‘Stay’ and ‘Come Along’. This musical only had one concert performance in 2023 that I was sadly unable to attend so I am constantly awaiting the revival!

I hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse of myself and what I enjoy so why don’t you have an explore on what else is on my page?
