This brand new reading at the Pleasence by the Yve Blake, writer of Fangirls is one of the craziest and unforgettable plays I have ever seen.

Mackenzie is a best of both worlds retelling of Shakespeare’s GCSE Classic Macbeth and this DOUBLE SOLD OUT reading definitely deserves every hype. This reimagines Macbeth as Mackenzie ( @dylanmulvaney ), 13 year old Disney channel child star of the early 2000s and Lady Macbeth as Ruth ( @thatsmsgaytoyou ), Mackenzies overbearing and controlling mother. Every other actor in this 7 cast performance plays a total of 21 characters between them and every single one of them was INCREDIBLE ( @iamreneelamb , @yveblake , @chloepetts , @jessicawhitehurst_ , @marymalone___ , @yasserzadeh_ )

No review for this one as this was it’s very first UK appearance but best believe this is one to keep a very close eye on in the very near future 👀
