Oh my goodness, this was an emotional watch. This musical has only been in my life for just under a month but it has really changed my life. From this being my first press event 2 weeks ago, pulling out the content for @stagemasters_1 and the reuploads to my account this platform has almost doubled because of the support for this amazing upcoming musical about everyday life and what could really be happening behind closed doors.
We Aren’t Kids Anymore is a new musical by Drew Gasparini, who has so much passion for the art he is creating and the relatable stories WAKA are telling about being human and the struggles we all face behind closed doors. The star studded cast were incredible, multi-rolling between being Drew himself and the various people in his life in this 90 minute song cycle.
The second half of the event was ‘An Evening with Drew Gasparini’, performing his own music joined by various industry guests to celebrate premiering this new musical in the West End.
As We Aren’t Kids Anymore continues to evolve, hopefully this isn’t the last we see of this fresh new musical.
